Information we collect
We collect only information reasonably needed to operate the website and respond to you. This may include:
- your name, email address, organisation, enquiry topic and message when you use the contact form;
- product, module, question or feature-request details submitted to the KX Community;
- whether you permit a moderated community submission to be published—your email address and organisation are not published;
- technical security information needed to protect forms, such as a privacy-preserving rate-limit value derived from an email address and, only behind a trusted service, a network address; and
- consent and feature preferences stored in your browser, as described in the Cookie Policy.
Do not submit Xero credentials, access tokens, passwords, payroll records, sensitive personal information or confidential company records through the public website.
How and why we use information
We use this information to:
- respond to sales, support, partnership and privacy enquiries;
- moderate community questions, replies and product ideas before publication;
- prevent spam, abuse, unsafe content and repeated automated submissions;
- maintain and improve the security, accessibility and operation of the website; and
- meet record-keeping, legal and dispute-resolution obligations.
We do not sell personal information. Optional analytics or marketing technologies will not be activated unless you allow the relevant category.
Retention and security
Enquiries and moderation records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the community, protect the service, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Short-lived rate-limit records expire automatically. We use access controls, encrypted service configuration, input validation, moderation and other proportionate safeguards. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Access, correction and privacy complaints
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, withdraw an optional consent, or make a privacy complaint. Use the secure contact form and choose Privacy. We will verify the request where appropriate, investigate it and respond within a reasonable period. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
